Lodging • The Granary

Our largest restored cottage, the Granary, is a two-story house across the road beside the barn. A unique floor plan created two bedrooms and two baths, plus a loft, out of the original granary on the Mast farm. This cottage features a great room with wood stove, full kitchen, and deck with picnic table surrounded by pasture land. The master bedroom is upstairs with a king bed and bath with whirlpool tub and large tiled shower. The second bedroom is downstairs with a queen bed and bath with a walk-in shower. A queen futon is on the loft overlooking the great room and can be used for lounging or extra sleeping space. The house is centrally air-conditioned. Established in 1810, today The Mast Farm Inn, is world renown for its authentic historical setting, fine rustic lodging, and organic gourmet farm dining. The Mast Farm Inn was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, as "one of the most complete and best preserved groups of nineteenth century farm buildings in western North Carolina." Thanks to inspired restorations and loving care, The Mast Farm Inn welcomes visitors today as it did a hundred years ago, providing outstanding meals and comfortable period-modern rustic lodging in a unique setting. The Restaurant at The Mast Farm Inn, specializes in "natural hand-crafted organic cuisine offered with a noteworthy collection of imported & domestic wines and beers", and is often cited as one of the 3 finest gourmet restaurants within a 50 mile radius. The landmark Mast Farm Inn designates the start of the newly created Valle Crucis Historical District.
