special occasions. All Include a Country Gourmet
Breakfast For Two or Four Each Day depending on the
room, cottage and cabin. The big cottages and cabins,
which are in fact as big as small homes, include
breakfast for four.
General Considerations In most cases, when you have a wedding at the inn
with about 30 people or more, most if not all of your
guests will lodge at the Inn and you will book the
entire Inn and/or Restaurant for two nights. You may
reserve all the Farm House Rooms, or All of The Cottages
& Cabins, or The Entire Inn, including the Restaurant
for The Duration. This is desirable but not obligatory.
We also do local weddings where lodging is not required,
or small weddings where you have very few guests or your
guests prefer alternate lodging. All those decisions
are conditioned by the size of your wedding. If it is
big enough and your guests do not lodge or dine here, it
may create a conflict with other inn guests who are here
while everything about the Inn that weekend is your
wedding. You won't enjoy that, nor will they, nor
will we. As such in cases when a mid-to-big wedding
is occurring at the Inn, and there are numerous out of
town guests, but they are not lodging or dining at the
inn, and as such we would have a lot of outside Inn and
Restaurant Guests, we may decide not to undertake the
project in everyone's best interest. That is something
we will evaluate together.

One of two 3rd floor dormer rooms with a queen bed
tucked under the eaves and two matching easy chairs by
the windows and the Jotul enameled gas stove. In the

A 2nd floor corner room on the front of the farmhouse,
overlooking our side garden with gazebo and the
vegetable garden and valley across the road, Elizabeth
Gray Vining is a favorite of many guests, especially
during the "fireplace" seasons. The walls in Vining are
the original pine paneling of the farmhouse and project
a warm glow. Amenities include a fireplace with gas
logs, large upholstered reading chairs, table, queen
bed, private bath with claw-foot tub/shower. Room air

A popular 2nd floor room on the east corner of the
farmhouse, the Joe Mast Room is our lightest and
brightest. It can accommodate three travelers with its
queen and twin beds. Both antique iron beds are painted
white, as is the fireplace mantel. An anteroom between
the bedroom and bath offers extra space for storage and
dressing. Amenities include a fireplace with gas logs,
claw-foot tub/shower in the private bath. Room air

Brookner A favorite of many guests, Miss Allie's Room is a
2nd floor corner room overlooking our terrace and side
rock garden. It is particularly quiet, being on the back
side of the house without a guest room above or below
it. A high antique walnut queen bed is showcased in the
room and two comfortable overstuffed chairs in a floral
pattern seem to bring the garden's flowers into the
room. Its spacious bathing room contains an antique
claw-foot tub and a tiled corner shower. The WC is
separate with toilet and sink, the latter fashioned from
an antique oak washstand. Room air conditioner in

Now furnished with a solid cherry four-poster king bed,
Nell's Room, our largest, is even more inviting. One of
our brightest rooms, Nell's is on the 2nd floor of the
farmhouse. It boasts a spacious sitting area with a sofa
and upholstered chair in crushed velvet, and an antique
trunk for your feet. Two windows overlooking the side
yard combine with the hint of peach on the walls to give
Nell's Room a sunny feel. The private bath has a
standard tub and shower. Room air-conditioner in summer.

Many guests' favorite room, Cousin Sarah is on the 3rd
floor of the Inn. The four-poster cherry king bed is a
center piece of the room. A claw-foot soaking tub for
two is tucked into an alcove of the room behind a
moveable antique screen. Another alcove is furnished
with a chaise lounge by the window for a quiet read. The
newly renovated bath has a large tiled shower. The third
floor has central air-conditioning for those few hot

The Blacksmith
Shop is an authentic historical one-and-a-half-story log
structure with a sleeping loft.
The height gives it a
spacious, but cozy feel. The downstairs is one large
open area with a queen bed and sitting area. A Vermont
Castings stove with gas logs is in a corner of the
cottage, open to the sitting area and the bed. The bath
with a shower is also downstairs. A large antique
platform tub for soaking is on the loft, as well as a
twin bed for lounging. The rock terrace outside your
door provides a private outdoor sitting area.

has been transformed into a romantic weekend or long
weekend getaway cabin for two with modern conveniences.Downstairs in the
living area is a massage tub for two across the room
from the original wood-burning fireplace. A wet bar is
nearby. A cozy bedroom with queen bed, and a small bath
with a corner shower are upstairs. The private porch,
with its own rockers, faces the farmhouse. The cabin is

Nestled in the
pine woods just west of the Inn, this large 600+ sq. ft.
cottage takes its name from the historic Maple Spring
that supplied the Valle Crucis community with water in
the 19th Century.
This cottage, which is
perfect for two, but accommodates up to four guests,
features a queen bed in the bedroom. A wall bed in the
living room folds down when needed for additional
guests. A Vermont Castings stove with gas logs in front
of a rock wall heats the living room, which includes a
sitting area, wet bar with refrigerator, microwave, and
coffee maker, table and chairs. The spacious bath
features a steam shower, a garden tub for soaking inside
the cottage, and double sinks. A front porch overlooks
the valley. Plus the nearby hot tub under the stars is
for the exclusive use of guests in our new cottages. •

two-story house beside the barn. Two bedrooms and
two baths, plus a loft, in the original granary on the
Mast farm. This cottage features a great room with wood
stove, full kitchen, and deck with picnic table
surrounded by pasture land. The master bedroom is
upstairs with a king bed and bath with whirlpool tub and
large tiled shower. The second bedroom is downstairs
with a queen bed and bath with a walk-in shower. A queen
futon is on the loft overlooking the great room. The

Like a tree-house tucked into the pine forest
above the inn, our Raspberry Hill cottage is a fully
furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bath log home. The master suite
features a king bed, and a large tub in the bath. The
great room, with cathedral ceiling, features a sitting
area around the woodstove and a dining area with seating
for six. A large deck with table and chairs for outdoor
dining extends off the porch. And the private hot tub
has proved to be an extremely popular addition.
