Your Wedding • Bridal Luncheon

Bridal Luncheons
Many brides will ask us to host a Bridal Luncheon the day before the wedding. "In appreciation and gratitude for their participation in her wedding, it is traditional for the bride to treat her maids to a party. It may be an elegant afternoon tea, cocktail, reception, dinner, or a pizza extravaganza." For more information see: Bridal Luncheons.


Our restaurant "Simplicity at The Mast Farm Inn" was selected from among hundreds of fine dining restaurants in North Carolina as one of the Top Ten for "The Best Dish in North Carolina 2010 Award"; North Carolina's Official State Restaurant Competition, presented by The North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services and sponsored by Our State Magazine. Welcome Reception
As your guests will often be lodging here, and may have traveled some distance to get to your wedding, some brides & grooms provide for a welcome to the wedding reception or dinner on check-in day. These can be very simple to very posh. This is often where gift memorabilia is presented to those who made the trip.

Parent's Get Together
Sometimes the bride and groom offer their parents a special custom or themed dinner at the Restaurant the evening before the wedding to thank them.

Family Picnic
We have sometimes produced for brides and grooms "The Great Outdoors Family Picnic" which enables people to meet or catch up in a ultra relaxed setting. Various interesting locations and formats are available.

Bachelor & Bachelorette Parties
Sorry Guys, we do not do bachelor parties. But, as the ladies are as a rule more civilized, we do allow bachelorette parties at The River Landing, in Raspberry Hill, at Simplicity, and at The Granary, if those locations are available, or can recommend a number of places in the surrounding area. Bridal Showers
We host a significant number of bridal showers at the Mast Farm Inn. "A bridal shower is one of those parties that are fun and practical at the same time. The obvious reason for a shower is to give things to the future married couple that will help them establish a home together. But the underlying reason for a bridal shower is that it's a nice occasion for the close family and friends of the bride to spend relaxed time with her before the big wedding day. It's a time for sharing funny stories, for relatives to give advice to the bride, and for friends to show their support. The bride is the princess of the day.
