If you like nature, the great outdoors, excitement mixed in with your serenity-peace-and-quiet, breathtaking scenery, fantastic food, wine, and real people, if you want to feel alive, full of hope and optimism... You have come to the right place. North Carolina is "It", and in "It", our area is "It". The western North Carolina High Country is one of the most visited travel destination in America, and with good reason; healthy vacations with punch. Vegas we ain't, we're better. There is so much to see, explore, discover and do within a 50 mile radius of here, that you could spend years trying. Not to mention the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is a 469 mile long botanical garden that runs from Tennessee to Virginia, and whose halfway point is about 3 miles from here. When you have a place so packed with mountains, rivers, streams, waterfalls, mountain villages, forests, restaurants, music, shopping, wineries, it actually probably compares most closely with the Napa Valley in California, or in Europe the French Swiss Border near Annecy-Geneva or on The Italian Swiss Border near Lugano. You could say it's an outdoors fan's version of Monte Carlo. This is a fantastic place and you do not need to take our word for it, ask anyone who has traveled these parts. In the activities section of this website you have but a minor sampling. Better yet, tell us what you like to do and we will help you organize the non-contact-sport aspects of a honeymoon you will not soon forget. To make a very long story short, this place is heaven, and you don't have to pay "the ultimate price" to get here, it's available "In The Living Years"
